Generally however, wrinkles, speckles, excessive freckles, dark spots, brown spots can be a bit annoying and an appearance problem for some people, especially for the women, and not just on the face but on the whole body.

Is there a method or product on how to lighten skin and get rid of these skin problems or hyperpigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation
These are melanin deposits such as dark or brown spots, lesions, excessive freckling, and wrinkles is caused by too much sun and a significant sign of aging. However, unlike wrinkles and greys, melanin deposits remain largely hidden from view except in exposed areas of the body like the face and neck or the legs when you wear shorts. Considering that modern UVA/UVB sunscreen was not around until the 1980’s, anyone in their 30s and beyond have soaked up a lot of harmful sun rays.

The Skin Lightening Industry
In effect, today, the look of uneven, spotty and sun-damaged skin has become the new grey hair. Because of this the skin cosmetic industry has taken great notice. Selling out as fast as wrinkle remedies, skin whitening products and specialized procedures abound to give even skin tones, lightened areas, radiant skin, and generally to get rid of hyperpigmentation.

Skin Lightening Begins with Prevention
What’s the best remedy? Of course, a degree of prevention today works wonders for your skin in the near future.

Keep Sun Exposure to a Minimum
Top dermatologists usually say protecting your skin against the sun cannot be overemphasized. The proof of this is that even in elderly people, their buttocks have great skin tone and color, so uneven skin is not as much an age problem as it is a sun exposure problem. So be sure to keep sun exposure to a minimum, just enough to get your vitamin D, and to wear sunscreen and protective clothing if you’re going to be outdoors for any length of time, whether the sun is out in full force or not.

To prevent additional brown spots from developing, wear sunblock containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide when you’re out in the sun.

Other Preventive Measures
• Stop smoking because cigarettes and its smoke will make skin sallow in color while adding wrinkles.
• Drink 8 glasses of water throughout the day. A well hydrated body means well hydrated skin.
• Make sure you have positive thoughts about getting better again. Good body opinions always make you feel more confident. The better you feel, the better you’ll heal. The brain works wonders for our bodies, even for our skin.
• Take off any makeup before trying any skin remedies such as whitening cream. Clean your whole body well to draw out the oil and dirt that may interfere or react with the compounds.
• Make sure you have a healthy diet to get rid of dark spots.
• Sunscreen is an essential component, especially the importance of using the proper sunscreen, and not just a high SPF number, in the proper way.
• If natural remedies don’t work to erase your brown spots, then talk to your dermatologist. They can recommend other solutions and alternatives like skin creams with natural ingredients.

Use Skin Lightening Cream for the Whole Body
There are prescription dark spot treatments and non-prescription skin lightening products on the market that contain a skin lightening agents and skin antioxidants such as Arbutin, Diacetyl Boldine, shea butter, primrose oil, Allantoin, Grapefruit seed extract, vitamins A, C, and E. With continued use, these types of skin whitening creams can fade existing dark spots and create a more even skin tone.

The bleaching agent in these kinds of creams may cause temporary itching, burning, redness, and other discomfort for those with sensitive skin. Generally, skin whitening creams don’t have any long lasting negative effects on any type of skin.

Avoid skin lightening creams that contain mercury, as this chemical can be toxic in humans.

Over-the-counter and Prescription Skin Lightening Products
You can brighten your skin without going to extremes. Over-the-counter natural skin lightening cream products that contain the above mentioned ingredients have modest to almost perfect benefit. Some skin whitening products also contain additional glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy acids as well as Retinol. Read the product label to see if they contain these ingredients.

If you want stronger medications, you may try prescription-strength skin lightening products containing vitamin A acid and hydroquinone, a pigment-inhibiting compound, to lighten skin. However, be aware that hydroquinone use has been banned in France and is currently under review by the FDA for possible cancer-causing properties.

Expensive Extreme Measures Solutions for How to Lighten Skin tone
Dermatologist-prescribed formulas, also containing hydroquinone, chemical peels, liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, laser therapy, and other filler injections may have their degree of effectiveness, but these extreme measures are very expensive, and may be too much for the average wage earner.
